If you need software that is not listed with the module avail command, please reach out to to inquire about getting software compiled as a module for your use. ![]() When using a Centos 7 node, we recommend avoiding loading any modules with this prefix, as they are most likely outdated and there are newer versions without this ‘engaging’ prefix that are meant for Centos 7 workflows. While this software can be loaded on Centos 7 nodes, it may not run correctly due to it being built for the older operating system Centos 6. Software with the prefix ‘engaging’ such as ‘engaging/openmpi/1.8.8` is software that is built for Centos 6. Please note that this module avail command will also output software built for Centos 6 nodes. You can see all the software available to be loaded on a Centos 7 node with the command: Software for Centos 7 nodes is updated periodcally and includes the newer versions of important software such as GCC, openMPI, Anaconda, and Python. If you specifically need Centos 6, please see the section below titled ‘Software For Centos 6 Nodes’ ![]() We recommend using Centos 7 nodes for all workflows, unless your workflow specifically requires an older Centos 6 node.
